Origin Story
TL;DR: I wanted friends. Ones that made me feel seen. Ones that lived at the intersection of athletic and literary, adventurous and cozy. And when the third space for meeting them didn't exist, I made one.
Fiction and fitness weave together so seamlessly, but for too long, the nerd and the jock have been set in opposition. We know book lovers have the biggest appetite for adventure, often fantasizing about battling with broadswords or winning epic tournaments, but they don't always feel welcomed by the traditional culture in fitness centers to follow through on that health pursuit.

Fit for Fiction aims to create a safe space where you can train like a main character, in all your nerdy glory, surrounded by people just like you.
Storytelling and fitness might not seem like the most natural pair, but at their core, they're both vehicles for safety and release. Books allow us to feel safely, while fitness allows us to express those feelings safely. Both are a means of escape, grounding, and therapy, making them the perfect complement for each other.
Fit for Fiction reflects this by blending narrative with health to create literary-themed workout classes. In our club, you'll get to try different workout styles, from boxing to barre, at different fitness studios around Boston, all curated to a genre or book.

You don't need experience. You don't need to know anyone. You don't need to come to every class. You're not obligated to read a book each week or the same books as everyone else. Tap in, tap out as your schedule allows. The goal is for you to try new things and meet your people.
My Story
